Peter E. Christakos of Easton CT USA , age 71, passed away peacefully Saturday, December 31, 2011 with his family by his side. He was born in Krokees, Greece, the son of the late Elias and Bessie Therapos Christakos. He immigrated to the United States in 1951. Peter was a longtime resident of Fairfield before moving to Easton 13 years ago. He was the proprietor of Famous Pizza House in South Norwalk for 44 years. A beloved, husband, father and grandfather, he is survived by his loving wife, Dimitra, of 45 years, his devoted children Elias Christakos and wife Gina, Vicky Seremetis and husband George, Kostas Christakos and wife Katerina and Barbara Christakos, his six wonderful grandchildren, his siblings Mary Katsetos and Dr. Manny Christakos and several nieces and nephews. The viewing will be held at Commerce Hill Funeral Home, 4798 Main Street, Bridgeport (on the Trumbull line) on January 4 (Wednesday)from 5-8 P.M. with a Trisagion Service at 6 P.M. Funeral services will be held at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, 4070 Park Avenue, Bridgeport on January 5 (Thursday) at 12:00 P.M. with Rev. Andreas Vithoulkas Presbyter officiating followed by burial at Lawncroft Burial Park, Fairfield. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Peter's name may be made to Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, 4070 Park Avenue, Bridgeport, CT 06604. | Τάκης Χριστάκος (ετών 71) απεβίωσε στις 31 Δεκεμβρίου 2011 στην πόλη Easton CT των ΗΠΑ. 'Ηταν γιός του Ηλία και της Βασιλικής ( Θεράπου ) στις Κροκεές Λακωνίας και μετανάστεψε στην Αμερική το 1951. Με την σύζυγο του Δήμητρα ( απο Μαγούλα Σπάρτης ) και τα παιδιά του Ηλία, Βίκη, Κώστα και Βαρβάρα ελαβαν μέρος σε πολλά Κροκεάτικα συνέδρια των τελευταίων τριάντα χρόνων. |
